Love of the Faithful

Don’t say goodnight, when you know it’s time for love.

Get your life right.
I’ve broken all the rules
Haven’t found all the pieces.
Although I see them from time to time
Perhaps its better to leave a few lying around
Here and there.
And who’s to say when I can’t know what’s ahead
A bumbling fool feeling in the dark for what can’t be felt
Listening for the sound of rightness when my mouth can’t speak
So lost, so found
But what is it that leaves those pieces in full view of those who know nothing
Nothing but its own nothingness, amalgamated into right speak catch phrases oh yes
Its been no time at all, so short and yet long in time reaching a point of wanting more, taking more
Must take more, my hands are still soft
My mind not yet resolute, it still wanders here and there
Between the coherent and incoherent, and so it stays to itself
But the rest is open to conjecture.

Its time for love
Not like the love of unrequited misunderstanding and irresponsible for loving love
But loving despite of its sameness
So don’t say goodnight, when you know my responsibility, my loyalty, my thoughts are of you, its time for love.
Think about that the next time before you say goodnight.
